Custom Shower Pan

I am considering putting in a custom shower pan in my master bath to open up the area. My question is that this will not be a square installation. The area is approximately 64 inches by 43 inches. I know the slope of the floor should be 1/4 inch per foot. Does it matter that it isn't square? Am I going to run into problems doing an rectangle instead of square? What if I left my drain where it is currently (about 1 1/2 foot off the new center) and just slopped the rest of the floor to the existing drain? I don't really want to bust up slab to move the drain, but will if I should. Any ideas out there?

Are you using a custom made cultured marble product, or a mud bed type tile base?
either way it doesn't sound like it should be a problem.
I recently installed a one peice custom CM base, with an offset drain to miss the framing, and the entry curb on the short side (a little non-standard, lol)
I plan to tackle the tile walls soon, and have been getting great advice from some of the pros here (look for the thread in the "remodeling" forum.)
I've seen many oddly shaped and sized tile showers that worked out fine.

If it's tile work you're doing, I suggest checking out John Bridge's forums over at TileYourWorld.com.
There's a ton of good info there. Also you can ask R&DTile (a member here) who is full of good info and has helped me out a lot.
