culligan mark 89 water softner
just bought a house that was vacant for almost a year it has a culligan mark 89 water softner in the basement i want to get it up and running again i cleaned the brine tank and pluged the hose back into the brine well tube there is a hole in the brine tank about 3in over and 1in down form the top of the tank what is this for ? am i missing parts and with a bigger problem the bypass valve was frozen i freed it up and water was coming out of the red side is it hard to fix ? and if i can fix all of this will sani sys and rust out clean the resin or should i just get a new sys if anyone can answer any of these it would help me out alot thanks
