What are counter tops held to the vanity with ? For example, how does a marble or granite top adhere to a bathroom vanity ? TIA

Sinks and countertops are often just held to the top framing of vanity or cabinet bases with dollops of caulk around the perimeter.

I use clear silicone sealer, not that I think that it makes that much difference. The weight pretty much holds it in place, bubble gum would probably keep it from sliding. I've seen guys use double sided tape too, make certain that you are on your marks when you set it down.

Thanx for the feedback.
If it's off the mark and set it down, what happens ? I thought I'd have a few seconds before it really sets in.

I was refering to the double sided tape. Any of the others will give you some wiggle time.
