Is this correct? Basement Bathroom Rough In
 

You can see that some of the framing is going over one of the floor drains. I have attached a few photos. Can this be done like this? I would appreciate any comments on what I should look out for. Thanks in advance.

That doesn't look like a drain-------is that the rough opening for a tub?

you have to provide more information than that....is that 4"drain for commode????? if so its 2 close to wall :huh::huh: ben sr

That looks like a backwater valve- you need 100% access.

Yes. Is it Ok that some of the framed wall is covering the opening. Thanks again for your help.

No, its not yet, you need to determine what is under the cover first. You may regret covering it.

It looks like you have a framing contractor that is following a plan rather than using his head and finding out what he is covering. The standard distance for a toilet is 12 inches from the finished wall, looks to me like you dont have that. Where are the shower/ lavatory pipes?

I dont see any vents .

Thank you every one for your input. I will clarify a few things. The basement is being framed and the bathroom is being left undeveloped. I just want to make sure that when everything is done that I won't be left with a big problem to complete the bathroom.

If you haven't noticed already I'm an extreme novice and at this point know very little about plumbing or framing. I do appreciate any help that is provided.

This is definitely the tub rough in. My question should have been - How far does the drain have to be from the framed wall? Is it OK that the some of the framing is overlapping the rough in? Does this look right?

Below is a couple of a couple more pics from ceiling where the water lines come in and the back wall. Does everything look good? Should there be anything else that I should look for?

I will measure the distance from the center of the drain to the wall. This should be 12"?

The reason I questioned your tub rough is that I didn't see a vent pipe for it's trap, and the fact that you're in a basement which, in my area requires the valve. A standard tub is 5ft long so the framed opening should be that or 60-1/4". The wall can be on that box, in fact, you may need to enlarge it some more when it comes to setting the tub.
The toilet needs to be 12" from center of pipe to finished wall- minimum.
