controller broken on drain cleaning machine?

I have a cobra brasscraft 1/3 hp drain cleaning machine. It has a controller that is a small rubber dome, attached by a plastic line to the motor. When you press on the rubber dome, I presume air pressure allows the motor to run.

Yesterday in the rain of course it malfunctions. The dome has sort of collapsed and I can't get any air pressure to start the motor.

I don't know if other drain cleaning machines have the same kind of starter. Is there a fix for this?

Thanks

Kinda sounds like an air switch. Did you check to make sure the hose didn't blow off either the switch end or button end?

Edit : Or cracked or broken, hose, maybe a hole in it?

Yes that's probably what its called, an air switch.

There's nothing obviously wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some damage, I have to haul the heavy thing everywhere.

Sound like I have to replace the whole thing. Damn I wanted to get it done quickly.

can you pull the air switch off the machine and see if you blow into it if it's clicking on and off?
