Connecting equip. to an elect. Drill
I need a tool to open generally simple strains (in my house). Kitchen and bath plumbing.
I have a good `Metabo` electric drill and want to use it`s power.
I`ve seen several tools which connect to electric drills:
Would those tools make a good job or should I buy something more serious. Currently I use a standard hand auger and failed to open the kitchen strain 2 times. I would prefer to invest in a good tool than to save my money and have it not to do the job or break apart.
I would like to know if I can buy any tool which would connect to my drill and do a good job and be reliable.
Any suggestions please?
If this is a one time need---rent a drill type auger----the rods are heavier than the little guys that you can buy for hand or drill use.
Those little guys do work, however, for short runs----Always remove the P-trap and rod directly into the wall.
It`s for lifetime I want the tool for.
Buy it once and use it for any application I might encounter in any home I`ll live ine.
I always prefer prof. tools and don`t use `chinese toys`.
I just think that I can use the power of the drill and buy an auger/drain cleaner (what`s the difference) to connect to it.
That Rothenberger looks best of all of it`s kind but I`m still concerned about it being amateur, so is the snake.
I prefer to invest 400$ once and buy a good tool than first 100$ then be disappointed and add 400$ (= 500$) but also prefer to invest just 100$ if it`s good enough.
