Cold water pipe-Elbow leak or moisture


There is water crawling from the cold water pipe. How will i know is the elbow is leaking or its just moisture? It's underneath our hardwood floor and its hard to reach. I don't want to damage the floors coz it was just installed.

Sometimes its dry sometimes its wet. it's not continues.

Need help please. thanks

Cold water pipe-Elbow leak or moisture


A leak is ALWAYS wet, sweating is only there when running water with warm moist air in contact. Sounds like sweating, so insulate the pipe and that should stop it. Use those preformed foam tubes.
