Yeah, it looks like somebody use a pound of solder on each connection. I would cut all of this out, and I bet you find a big slug of solder clogging your pipes. Whoever plumbed this had a very serious confidence problem.

Thanks Jagans. Pardon my lack of knowledge, but if I were to cut this out, what next? Just open it and see what's in there or replace those sections of with something more efficient?

I would not take those manifolds apart try back flushing first, your obstruction could be in the bend below the slab.
