code for draining water softener in sump pit

is there any national pluming code that prohibits drainig the water softener into the sum pit. (let us assume there is no "local" code)

as pointed out in the fourm, there could be an issue with the pump corrosion but that does not apply in my case.

btw, the intsructions (for the softener) imply it could be drained into a sump but they also have disclaimer

code for draining water softener in sump pit

If the sump goes outside, I would not want that salty water on my yard/trees/etc.

that does not answer the question-- the question is is there a code against it?

the water will not go on grass or shrubs
