Clothes Dryer Ducting

I've also wondered why clothes dryers are allowed to draw inside contitioned air.

Is there a residental clothes dryer which draws air from outside the home?

Would also be interesting to know if the dryer ducting is a pipe within a pipe system? Outside air is drawn through the outer pipe allowing the air to be pre-heated before entering the dryer. Similar to what is used with some gas fireplaces.
