closet flange wax ring problem
Finishing my basement...I have a 3" sewer drain pipe and I am using a closet flange with a female end into the drain pipe as it is in concrete. I have tiled the floor around the pipe. I am using a wax ring without a poly coupling. After installing the flange and setting the toilet, the bottom face of the horn on the toilet is touching the top of the face of the flange opening. The flange seems to be too high, anyone know how much space should be between the horn face and the flange opening? Also the flange opening is 2 1/2" ID, I noticed all wax rings with the coupling built in them are 2 3/4"? Is a wax ring with copling available for a 2 1/2" opening?
Thanks
Sean
