Clogged garage drian

My garage floor drain is clogged and I can't seem to open it w/ the auger I borrowed from a friend nor can I thread a hose down the hole. When any water goes near the drain it will just back up. During the winter I had sitting water in my garage constantly from melted snow carried in on our cars. It seems like there is a pipe that will drain the dirt and water when it is not clogged but I can't seem to find it anywhere on my property. It should be near the exterior of the garage right?
