Clogged Copper Pipe?
I just installed a new refridgerator and hooked up the water line. There is no flow of water from the fridge. I unhooked the line from the wall and turned on the valve and there is no water coming out of the valve. I replaced the valve and there is still no water flow. It appears the copper pipe is clogged some where. Water flows fine from all the other faucets in the house. I don't know how this could have occured. Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

What type of valve,, saddle on pipe, angle stop, ball, gate ??

It's a quarter turn straight stop valve.

Follow the line from the valve back to the line it comes from and see if there's another shut off there.

The line disappears into the wall, no way to follow it. I don't believe there is another valve as we shut off the valve at the wall when we moved the old fridge out.

if your copper they might of used a piercing valve but there is another valve after the wall if your galvinized then it's a reducing situation to get onto it(cold water)

More likly a kinked line then a pluged one.
You did double check to see if water comes out of the valve with no line connected right?
May be simpler to just install a new line.

In my case the water line for the fridge had a shutoff valve, the pipe went up the external wall into the attic, down a internal wall where it was connected to another shutoff valve under the kitchen sink. Imagine that.

And water comes out of the copper pipe when valve is removed? And the water ran fine with the old fridge? And you didn't kink copper while removing old or installing new fridge. Was the old valve ever off the copper during any of this fridge moving? Its a slab foundation isn't it? Who knows where other end is, it was there when you moved into house? My washer and fridge are back to back so I poked a hole thru wall and branched off washer copper.
