Clearing Out Clogged Downspout Extensions

I have two downspouts that connect to flexible black extensions. Those extensions are buried and lead to my sump pump. During yesterday's storm, I noticed that NO water from them went into my sump pump. I checked outside and water was spilling over the top of the extensions.

I assume roots have clogged them up. Can a plumber clear these out without tearing the tubes?

Possibly----have you disconnected the down spouts and checked to see is twigs and leaves are plugging it up right at the connection?

That is a very unusual set up----why is your roof draining into your basement like that?

You should divert all outside water away from the house by a minimum of 10'. How much water would your basement hold if your sump pump failed and all the water from the roof went into it?

I wonder if the OP's property isn't all pitched badly, and the individual who did this figured it was the easiest way to overcome the problem?

Regardless: ISTM a disaster-in-waiting. A power or pump failure at the wrong time, and...

I would recommend finding out why what was done was done, and fixing that. Leading roof run-off into the home strikes me as a Particularly Bad Idea.
