cleaning pipes: emery cloth vs steel brush


I see most ppl use emery cloth to clean inside and outside. But what about a steel brush? It seems to me that it's a lot easier to use, and save money since its not "consumable".

Here's a all in one brush for cleaning inside and outside of pipes.

They work well when new, but wear out fast, then it is back to emory cloth.
