"Chicago-Loop" For Shower & Laundry Room Vent

Can I use the Chicago Loop, as shown in the photo, to vent a shower & Laundry room drain?

Im a novice when it comes to plumbing and am trying to learn here. While I don't think its ideal - I want to use this as I have a vent pipe that exits the roof behind a short knee wall. There is really no way for me to traditionally tap into it as the shower/laundry room are about 10 feet away from it and a bathroom entry door also proposes an additional obstacle.

Maybe take a picture of your situation.

I think to what you are referring is only used on kitchen islands and similar areas where there is absolutely no other way to vertically vent.

I will let pros pipe in on this.

Thanks... Thats exactly what i have been thinking about - I have not seen this used/referenced for anything other than a kitchen island installation.

I did a quick "rough" floorplan layout of what the attic will look like - maybe this helps.... the black dot marks the spot of the current vent location.

what about going up above the door frame then dropping to the horizontal vent run for the sink?- would that work?

I have read both yes and no to that - the yes version says as long as the vent is 6" above the highest fixture served by the runs - it will be ok.

set up worked for many years and was code approved under the old code. no longer approved under the IPC, if you go with that set up youll need clean outs at the end of each loop. also it was meant to be used in lines 3 inch and up.
