Change Lavatory Faucet

MOEN TWO HANDLE LAVATORY FAUCET MODEL 84000 & 4500 SERIES -
The cold water handle turns clockwise to open and counter-clock to shut
off and that is COUNTER-INTUITIVE!! I hate to have to think to wash my hands!
Can I install a replacement cartridge that works normal (or just rotate the
present cartridge 180 degrees)?
Help

thats how its supposed to go. did you make a mistake in your posting? did you mean the hot handle does that? cold is clockwise on, towards the spout and counter clockwise off, towards the wall.

In our house both kitchen and bath, hot and cold, have been counter-
clockwise on and clockwise off til now - the new Moen is clock-wise on
for the cold and we are not used to it, so I guess basically I can get and
install a new cartridge if I want, right? (Just checked other half-bath and that
lavatory goes the opposite direction for both hot and cold but they have
the one directional handles that intuitively you twist the direction you need.
Thanks

ohhhhh ok. so both hot and cold are counter clockwise on and you want to keep them all that way. you can get a hot stem and install it on the cold side. usually the cold stem turns on clockwise and the hot stem counter clockwise to turn on, so a hot stem on the cold side would be counter clockwise to turn on. double check whereever you go of course if the stem is for hot or cold.

Handles are parallel to the wall when off, turn toward the spout to turn on
