cast toilet flange

I have a toilet to replace, the problem is its a slab, and the plumber doing the rough in did a half@ss job.The flange is cast, and the foam they use to protect the pipe when they pour the slab was never cut back and flange not secured to drain pipe which is also cast,so there is no way to tighten bolts without slipping flange out of line ,is there some type of epoxy or a way to secure it si I can tighten toilrt down?

Thanks in advance
Z

Hey Z,
The flange is supposed to be set above the finished floor level (bolted to it) with only the thickness of the flange (1/4" +/-) above the finished floor level.
You just need to get Tapcon screws (made to be screwed into concrete) and the proper size masonry drill bit for them, to install the flange.
Good Luck.
Mike

cast toilet flange

Thanks for the response Mike, there was nothing to screw to. A plastic tub was used around the flange when they pour,so the flange does not really sit on anything...I did find a flange with a tapered and threaded tail piece, where the rubber ring sits inside the the 90 and you screw the flange in,being tapered it tightens up.

Thanks again
