cast iron to PVC

when removing my bathtub the old cast iron trap broke so I decided to replace with PVC. I used a rubber fitting and hose clamps to attach the to together. Should I have used epoxy to seal the rubber fitting to the cast iron and PVC or will the hose clamps be ok? I tested it and there was no leaks, but I want it to hold up in the long run. here is a picture of the job.

As long as you have good alignment, the way you made the transition should be just fine.

A no-hub coupling would probably have been better, but you used so many clamps that you almost made one anyway. LOL
What you did should work.
