Capped old Washer drain, pipe leaking (please help)
I have a capped pipe that used to service a washing machine that is leaking from the top. It hasn't been used in about 6 years. I guess I've got a backup problem. Any ideas how to adress this. I'm assuming the problem must be in the main line or even the septic tank? As I said this drain hasn't been used in years. I don't have plumbing experiance but I'm fairly handy. It this something I can tackle myself or do I need to call a pro? If so do I call a plumber or a septic guy? Thanks in advance for any ideas. I need all the help I can get.

If you must call in help a local plumber would be the place to start---the septic companies may not be able to rod out a drain or perform other interior work---Depends on the company, but around here the septic guys stay outside of the house--
