Cap Off Copper Pipe

I want to cap off one shower feed in my bath remodel. The pipe will end up being encased in concrete. Are there any special precautions to make sure this never leaks. Do I just solder on the caps? The line is in the concrete slab pour so I cant remove it.

Cap it then wrap the pipe with pipe insulation so the concrete would interact with the copper.

Is there any reason you wouldn't want to cut and cap it upstream, so you don't have a pressurized water pipe in your slab for no reason? Or is it in a location where you could leave it a bit longer so the cap is in a wall somewhere? That way you'd have the option of using the feed later, or if the cap leaked, it would be somewhere you'll know about it and can fix it.

I'll have to look at capping it upstream. I'm not sure how the pipes come into the bathroom. There are 2 heads in the shower. On the side I want to cap, there are 3 cold and 3 hot pipes that come up through the slab and are connected to make 1 hot and 1 cold for the shower head. On the other side there are 2 cold and 1 hot that are in the slab and make up the other head. I have a feeling that the side with the 3 pipes feeds the other side but I dont know alot about plumbing. I'm trying to expand the shower a few feet and it has to be enlarged on the side with the 3 pipes.
