Can I go up from 3/4" metal gas pipe to a 1" and then back down?
Hi,
I have a 17' of 1" metal pipe that I would like to use, but my outlet on the meter is 3/4". It is a 17' straight piece that I would like to use instead f getting a new one. Question, can I go 3' up my wall with a 3/4" pipe, then connet a 90 degree to the 1" pipe for the 17' and then do another 90 degree and a 5' piece of 3/4" to feed a 300,000 btu water heater? Thanks. |

Holy crap... why do you need a 300,000BTU water heater
Is this the only appliance on the 3/4" gas line No furnace or stove

Yes, I have a noritz 930 tankless and its 300K. I have a 3/4" pipe handoff from the meter, I wanted to run 3' up of 3/4" then bend 90 degrees and go into a 1" for 17' into my laundry, then do another 90 degree bend and go into 3/4" for another 5', thats where the heater is at. |
