I don't know of many plumbers who are going to 'check' your work...even if you pay them....there are things that could be wrong that you can't see from a visual inspection.

With that said.....no reason you can't do it.....in most cases, if it doesn't leak...you more or less got it right.

I would 'highly' suggest pulling a permit...the inspector will then inspect it to make sure it's done correctly.

But, before embarking on your task...do the research. If your doing copper.....read on copper pipe sweating...if doning PEX, read up on how it's done.

On your drains....your basically going to just replace what is there....so just make the new stuff look like the old.....but it's ok to post pics and let the guys hear chime in.....

Good luck and check back in with us on the progress.

As long as you pull the proper permits if they are required in your area.

: That's just it. We don't know. Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?

You should check with your building department to see if you can legally do plumbing without being licensed. In some areas, a homeowner can't, not even on their own property.
