Can An Air Gap Function As A Vent?

I have a 1 1/2 vent line that runs nicely out through the brick veneer that I would love to use for an ERV exhaust line, but its currently venting the drain line from a bathroom.

The same line has an air gap connection in the basement for the water softner dischage. Would this serve the same purpose If I disconnected the current vent line?

vents are vents and are not to be used for anything but, air gaps are to avoid cross contamination with secondary proposes but not venting,

Your airgap connection SHOULD have a trap on it, so the answer is no.
