calcium buildup

i am getting low HOT water pressure in my house. i have a well with a captive air water tank. my dad thinks that i have calcium buildup in my pipes. how can the pipes be cleaned?

You can clean and soften the water going into them, but you can't really clean water supply pipes themselves. Water softeners usually remove calcium and magnesium, two minerals that make water hard, clog shower and faucet heads, etc.
If your hot water pressure is uniformly low all over your house, you need to check the cold water supply going into the water heater...cold water pressure in should roughly equal the hot water pressure out. Make sure that the cold water shut-off valve at the water heater is wide open and clear.
Good Luck!
