Question

Bury Fernco Proflex

I live in Sacramento California and need to replace a section of my cast iron sewer pipe with ABS between the house and street. I was hoping to use the Fernco Proflex fittings to connect the CI to ABS but can find anything on Fernco's website that says the Proflex fittings are approved to be buried underground. Can someone tell me if this will pass code in my area? Assuming it will, when I go to backfill, should the fittings be surrounded by plain soil or should I put gravel around them first?

Thanks,
Goose

Ayuh,... Donno if it'll pass code where you are, but I use 'em, underground all the time....
