A bunch of Drain floors & what is this?

This is on the property we are looking to purchase:

In the basement there are a bunch of Drains in the floors that are capped? Do you know why this is?

Also in the first picture this is this wired looking thing from the basement floor, any idea what this is?

Looks like the only operational Drain floor

Have you asked the owners what they are?
One looks like at one time it may have been a drain for something, HVAC condinsate, sink, water softner.
One looks like a sewer drain cleanout plug, that last one is a drain but an odd cover to be using for it, should have been flat.

Plugged drains in the basement can sometimes mean that in the past the owners have had issues with the sewer backing up into the basement. If it's in a city, connected to city sewer, check with the neighbors to see if this has been a problem in the neighborhood.

It could be the drains don't have traps or they dried out all the time and let sewer gas into the house.

I could be that the previous owner has some personal concerns or issues with floor drains.

This is a property with private septic system. What is bothering me is the first picture. I'd like to know what that is.

They may be clean-outs not drains.

the first picture is a pipe plug that you can connect a water line to, to fill drainage pipes for testing as required in some locations. the pipe sticking up is what you connect your water source to as it goes all the way through the plug.

What's bothering me is why a plumber would leave that expensive plug behind?
Are all these pipes in the same area? I'm thinking you're looking at a future bathroom layout.

You are right about the future bathroom. These drains are all around 1 section of the basement & the basement has an ejector pit that is separate from a sump pump.
