I'm setting a toilet for our new basement bathroom. When cutting the pipe (3" ABS), so the flange is at the right height, the pipe broke. Is there a way to fix this without having to break the floor up?
The pipe is attached to a flexible coupling that was used to extend the pipe from the existing drain. Above the coupling, there's only about a 1/4" of pipe (at the lowest point). I'm not sure if using a reamer bit is possible (or recommended) so I can ream out the existing pipe and insert a new piece.
