You most likely have debris in the valve--This sometimes happens when the old piping is disturbed to install the new fixture.

The valve is new so taking it apart to clean the cartridge should go well.

1. shut off the water to the house --open a few faucets to drain the piping.

2.remove the handle and trims.--Put a towel in the tub first--you don't want to loose any thing down the drain.

3.Remove the horseshoe shaped clip just above the stem.

4.gently pull out the cartridge --a pair of pliers on the stem-pull and twist.the faucet is new-this should do--their is a cartridge pulling tool, but should not be needed if the unit is new-

5.rinse out the cartridge--the little rubber pads pull off--

6.put it all back together.

if it still dribbles--get a new cartridge.--Mike--
