Boiler Pressure

My boiler is running about 12-14 psi. I have three floors, counting the basement where the boiler (weil-mcLean) is.

I recently removed one of the baseboard radiators from the middle floor and probably introduced some air in the system, but the pipes are not noisey and I am getting heat throughout the system.

If I do need to add water to increase the pressure, how do I do that? All of the valves around the boiler are already open...I don't know how to increase the pressure. There is an air purge tank (I think that is what it is called anyway), and it is hot on top and luke warm on the bottom, so I assume it is working.

Ayuh,... 12 to 14psi is fine,... You probably have an auto-fill valve, they're usually set for 12psi..

'course, that's 12psi Cold,... it'll run at slightly higher pressures...

Do you have bleeds at the top floor radiation,..??

If there's trapped air, that's a good place to look...

Boiler Pressure

Bleed your radiators... Sounds like an air Block somewhere. I usually start at the one closest to the Boiler and work my way up... others go right to the top both methods work
