hi,

i asked this before, but didnt need to replace the hot water heater after all. now, my gf's mothers hot water heater went on the blink, and i have to look at it in a day or so, so just in case i have to replace it. plz, tell me if this is the correct way to bleed the system. turn water on to heater, and at the same time have the hot water in kitchen sink turned wide open, watch til i get a steady flow of water, then shut off, check for leaks, and turn on hot water heater.

I've always just went ahead with the replacement and then turned on hot water somewhere up high until I get a solid stream of water.

OK.....I just read what you wrote again, and come to find out I could have just said "yes":p ...but since I typed it, I'll leave it. What you said sounds good.
