Black water backup after roto-rooter cleared drain

Is there a toilet near the tub that is backed up? If there is, why isn't it as full as the tub?
Also, why can't RR pull a toilet and cable through the flange? It will be 3" pipe at minimum.
You either have a very unique system or an RR tech that is not seeing something except your wallet.

if the main line was clogged ..all fixtures inside house would be affected.if other fixtures are working fine ..ITS NOT MAIN LINE...as mentioned the branch has to be clogged, they make a small snake with 1"cutter head capable of opening 3" line..what a pile of crap tell them to give you your money back and CALL SOMEONE ELSE.....sorry ...ben sr

Here is another update, this whole situation at this point is laughable. They came back today and power snaked through a cleanout we found by the septic. Of course, nothing happened. I swear I know more about plumbing then these guys...

The tech said he will be calling back on Monday to let us know of they will be bringing in their jetting machine to try next. At that point it will be one week. I think we are just going to call another plumber.

I had paid them a check before we discovered the backup, but we immediately stopped payment and they are not going to see a dime from me. I have a legal plan at work so will just have a lawyer send them a letter, maybe with the septic pumping bill and plumber's bill.
