bathtub drain plug

Good morning,
An unfinished remodel has left me with an unfinished bathroom. Everything in the tub is hooked up and works except the drain plug. I need to install a drainplug in the bathtub but don't know what parts I need. It's a new tub with a 2" threaded stub sticking out of the overflow. The stub sticks out less than 1/2". What parts do I need to complete the job?

A picture would be nice, But if i understand it the overflow has a white or black set of threads sticking out with a thin nut on it. If that is so you need the trim kit for your waste and overflow. You need to know the brand used. maybe a Watco? If its a Watco the the cover just pops over the thin nut. and i am guessing its a toe stop so you just screw the stopped in the strainer.
