bathroom sink supply line height
I'm replacing a vanity sink with a pedestal sink. I cut away the drywall so I can put a brace between the studs where the sink will be mounted.
However, the copper supply lines are capped at about 32" off the floor - right where I need to put my brace. The supply valves themselves are at about 19". I can't find anything that describes the function of the extra 14" of pipe above the supply valves, except for installation of a hammer arrester. Can I cut 6" off the pipe to make room for the brace, and cap it off at 26" above the floor? Thanks! |
Yes you can cut and cap them lower
