Bathroom sink drain extension

New drain extension for bathroom sink does not fit snugly into the drain at the wall. Is there some sort of sleeve which will slide into the wall pipe drain and over the extension so I can sweat them all together? :(

There is way to much slop where the two fit together to solder.

Seem like there should be some sort of coupler to allow the two to mate up.

You likely have standard 1.25" going into 1.5". The drain in the wall should have a nipple that has male threads on the end sticking out toward the drain trap extension. There is a common female-threaded reducer adapter made for the purpose to connect the two (with a rubber washer seal for straight metal pipe, or a plastic washer seal for straight plastic pipe coming from the trap).
You can find drain adapters almost anywhere plumbing parts are sold.
Good Luck!
