Bathroom renovation
I am installing all new bathroom and the old shower fixture was a single unit, faucet and the new one is two faucets and nothing to screw to a stud. Do I need to add a support between 2x4's and how to hold the faucet?

Also how high do I need to make the toilet flange, floor level or above?

This seemed much easier 25 years ago!!:laughing:

on the first question some clearity is reaquired.....i don't understand what you are installing?

on the toilet flange deal....there is a good range af variation don't want the top of the flange below the level of the finished floor and you don't want any space between the bottom of the flange lip and the finished floor...i f the flange sits right on top of the floor some toilets won't except it and you will have problems getting your toilet to bolt down some where in between is good.

I'm not a plumber but I did just intall a "mixing valve" in a newly installed shower. You must be talking about having two handles to control the flow of hot and/or cold water separately, I think. For mine, and I'm assuming for most other set-ups, the elbows where the water connected to the valve are the "drop-ear" elbow type, meaning they have "ears" for screws to attach to blocking and the mixing valve is supported by brass "nipples" between two of the drop-ears. I'm making an educated guess, but I bet you put drop-ear elbows in the wall where your handles stick out. OR... I'm way off. Have fun with it though.
