bathroom drain


my drain in the middle of the bathroom floor has a sewer odour coming out of it why is that

The trap could be dry,try pouring a pint or so of water in it and see if that helps.

Forgot to say pour it slowly.

Dryed up trap, pore some water in it.
With no water in the trap there's nothing to stop the sewer gases.

picture of floor drain would help with lid off....need to see if it has a trap under it or just a bell trap...ben sr
