Any steel plumbing supply lines feeding that tub?
What size is the main lines supplying water to the tub?

What kind of tub? If it is a tub with a deck mounted faucet---check the airiator screen on the tip of the faucet---

If it is a regular bath tub--what kind of valve? single handle of double? what kind of spout?

Could this be a problem with your water pressure in your bathroom?

In our last house I took apart the valve and every piece of assembly accessible; there was a fair amount of grit build up in there. Flushed it all out and no more problems. It did have galvanized pipes for 50 years so I'm sure that's where it came from.

That's a Moen---pull the cartridge (after you shut off the water)

Clean the valve body with some fine sandpaper--replace the old cartridge with a new one and let us know how it works.

Use a Moen cartridge pulling tool---
