Bath sink change out

I'm going to change our bath sink faucet . Not routine for an electrician, so I bought those s.s mesh hose hook up lines and a Moen unit. Do I use thread sealent and plumbers putty on this? The faucet has a vinlyn base it sits in.

Do not use anything on a flexable connection--those work by compression--the threads are only there to press the rubber connection together---

You might need plumbers putty under the faucet---most likely--no--as most use a foam gasket--read the instructions.

Bath sink change out

I'd pick up some plumbers putty for the drain where it meets the basin.
It's cheap.

Might want a basin wrench too. Makes it easier to reach the faucet nuts
