basement bathroom remodel
just starting a basement bathroom remodel. The floor is a slab, the current toilet placement is RIGHT inside the door, There is no place to move the door. Thankfully the door opens out. I believe the toilet drain may be right into the septic. how can I check this and if this is true, is there any way to move the drain that is currently in the floor? Thanks.

Any thing can be done--Post a picture if you can---also is plumbing PVC or cast iron.
Pull the toilet and see which way the pipe goes--there is no P-trap on a toilet line-- Jack hammering the floor and moving things around is done all the time--- We need more facts to offer any suggestions-----Mike---

Thanks oh'mike. The toilet is out, it's cast iron pipe, it looks like it goes straight down. There is a clean out directly behind the toilet on the other side of the wall. no light right now for photos, i will in the a.m.

Good,Look for the main vent stack---poke something down the toilet hole--see if you can figure out which way the pipe goes---It probably heads for the clean out or main stack.
