Backwards Fed Pitless
Anyone know if there is such a device as a pitless adapter that feeds from the top instead of the bottom or is open all the way through?
I need to modify my deep well system so that the supply from the pump comes out the top of the well instead of straight to the pitless. That means that I have to get the flow back to the pitless.
I know I can just use 2 90 degree elbows and come in the bottom of the pitless but I don't know if that is enough (3 90s) to affect the line pressure enough to be concerned about. A backwards pitless would be only one 90 (the pitless itself).
Also have considered drilling straight through the pitless, plug the bottom side and I'll have the device I want. Anyone think that will weaken the adapter?
Reason for this is that I need to move my pressure tank and iron filter system out to the well house I just built over the well and also install a sediment tank. If I can't do what I want to do that means two more pipe runs to the house. Not fun. No sense in running it to the house, back to the well house and then back to the house again. :-) My way I only have to install some piping in the well house.
TIA
