Backup Sump pump battery question

Hi,

I installed Zoeller 507 Backup sump pump in my basement. I just installed it but didnt buy battery yet. They battery they recommend is Aquanot which is almost 300$.

I was planning to buy "Wayne 75 amp hour maintenance free battery". But the thing is i looked on sump pump it doesn't says how much amp hour battery it needs. Another thing is i looked at some other batteries like watchdog 6 and 7.5 hour battery none of them tells what amp hour they are and how many hours run time it gives at rated amp hour.

So can someone shed some light on it and let me know if battery i am planning to buy is good enough for my system. Also where can i find how much amp hour my sump pump needs? Also where can i find amp hour information on most of batteries?

Here's the cut sheet for the pump you bought: http://www.zoellerpumps.com/ProductB...x?ProductID=63 it's got everything you need to know about the battery requirements, size and capacity. Remember whatever kind of battery you buy needs to be deep cycle marine rated.

Look for an AGM battery. It's Advanced Glass Matt.
Charges 50% faster, will never leak or off gas, can be stored for long lenghts of time without loosing it's charge.
You can find them at any auto goods store, Wal Mart, Costco ECT.

There about $170.00 but there the best you can buy.

If you follow the link to the insulation instructions it tells you the amp hour rating requirements for the battery.
