Back Flush Toilet

My wife and I are building a series of guest cottages that will utilize a single septic system. Because we are building on a slope, getting the proper fall for the drainage in one of our cottages became a challenge.

The plumber suggested a "back flush" toilet. By having the toilet flushing through the wall and not through the floor, we were able to achieve the required fall.

My question is this: Has anyone had any experience with toilets of this kind?

Again, according to the plumber, these are supposed to have fewer problems and actually have more flush power behind them.

Back Flush Toilet

Hey Randell:

Depending on the model you get, a FLOOR MOUNTED back flush toilet works great!! Some even have a pressure-assist feature that makes them flush right up there with the commercial toilets.

I recommend American Standard or TOTO brands...especially the pressure-assist kind. Never seen one clog yet. There are other good names, as well.

"Google" back flush toilet and pressure assisted back flush toilets..see what comes up.

Hope that helped.
