araist needs help with copper tubing

my wife is an artist and wants to use copper pipe to replace the grout which connects different rectangular tiles she has created within a mixed media piece.

think of a backsplash or bathroom wall, with thin copper tubing replacing the grout.

She wants to finish the ends of the pipe, leaving it closed but rounded and smooth to the tube surface. How can she do this?

Thanks

Copper plate and a cup die, cut a circle and use a hammer to make a half sphere, pretty basic jewelry technique. I used to use quarters to make spheres to save time- an older copper penny might wind up the right size for copper pipe, but she would have to experiment.
