Another leaking shower post
1 Attachment(s)
Hello, I am really glad I found this site! I have called every plumber in town and the earliest I can get one is 3 weeks!! So I'm hopeing to maybe fix this myself. :( Yesterday my boyfriend turned the shower on, and apparently the shower head was positioned wrong; so he threw a hissy fit and slammed the water off and ever since then the hot water is won't completely shut off. It's only comming out as like a dribble but still...
The faucet is just a one handle deal. Turn it to the left to turn the water on ect. He's actually taken the peice off but whatever is under that he can't figure out how to get off, and he doesn't want to break anything else.
We have been turning the hot water on and off so our electric bill doesn't put us in the poor house until we get it fixed.
Any advice?? Thank you for reading my post.
I will try and attach a picture of the faucet.

there should be hexed shaft under the handle that comes off with a wrench, pull that off and see if the rubber o-ring/washer got smashed and is seeping past it. replace that and it should be fine.
