American Standard Toilets

We bought two new American standard dual flush Toilets a little over a year ago and one is leaking alot and the other one is leaking very slow..I took the flush valve out of the one leaking alot and noticed the seal was not level, it was bubble up on the one side, looks like it was made of a silicone,

So i called up American standard and told them what i found and , and they already new that there was a problem with them , he said that was the first run, since then they have changed the seal..So they are sending me two new flush valves, nothing like the older toilets, with the flapper, these dual flush you have to change the whole unit. It's easy to change, you first turn the water off at the toilet and then you just turn the flush Valve and it lifts out..

We are on a well so when a toilet is leaking we know it, because the pressure pump will run.. 'anybody on city water may not even know these toilets are leaking if you have one you should check with American standard.

American Standard Toilets

Thanks for the tech tip. One of the reasons that I drop in occasionally is for this kind of advice.
