american standard blake kitchen faucet

I installed an American Standard Blake kitchen faucet (a christmas gift). The swival action is very loose. the twist in the hoses rotate the faucet. I contacted A S and a new one was sent, no questions asked. I installed the replacement, the same problem is still present. It looks like a shim washer between the barrel and the mounting plate would snug it up to fix the problem. I can't beleive two faucets would be defective in the same way. I went back to Lowes to see the sample on the display wall and it was loose also. Any thoughts out there? model # 352669 / 9174.101.075.

Thanks,

bernie

Just what the Dr. ordered, "thanks but no thanks". I kinda guessed that would be the answer. May have to call A/S and talk to them. Last time it was just an e-mail. All this fun for about $150.00!!!!

thanks,

bernie

I had a similar problem with my microsoft keyboard. I couldn't press multiple buttons simultaneously on it, and after about 15 minutes of troubleshooting, they determined it was defective. Sent me a brand spanking new one free of charge, and I still have the same issue.

The way I look at it is : "At least if this one actually breaks, I have a free piece of crap I can replace it with."
