I'd appreciate some input on a project I'm working on to see if I'm on the right track.
I'm putting in a Liberty Provore 380 240 volt for my cabin. The base of the unit is 3' below ground surface, discharge is 10" below surface. Discharge pipe is sched 40 2" pvc running 240' to discharge point. The run is nearly level with a couple feet of elevation (at the most) in the mid point of the run. Check valve in the riser after a 90. End discharge is into large gravity feed pipe
When I calculate total head with friction loss (pipe plus one 90 and one check valve) I come up with around 10 feet. Pump curve shows this 1 hp pump still doing around 40 gpm at this head. Holding tank is 41 gallons so around a minute of run time to drain.
Its the long run of course that is concerning me - Do you see any glaring issues with my calculations? Did I miss something big? Any help greatly appreciated.
