All in One Shower
4 Attachment(s)
A last minute upgrade by the previous owner has us scratching our heads. We are, to this day, trying to understand the logic behind what we have in the main floor bathroom. As shown in photos below, the shower has been installed right over the bathroom window. <doh>
Can I remove and reuse this unit or would it be fastened to the space by means of some super glue that will only tear the unit apart if I try to pry it out?
Thanks in advance,

Good god, that is amazing. And to think that someone was probably really proud of that when they got done!

You're wanting to totally remove the shower unit? It is at least caulked in place. What I would suggest is removing the sheetrock that surrounds it a little at a time around the edges. You'll have to take all of the plumbing loose of course. Removing little pieces of rock from around the trim flange of the shower might make it possible to get it out without ruining it.

Either way, when you're done, you'll have a whole window exposed in your bathroom!

The wood moulding surrounding the shower will have to be the first thing to go of course.

I am guessing, but most of these type kits recommend construction adhesive to hold the panels in place. It "may" be a bear to pull out. Never ceases to amaze me what people do in a house.
