Air in water supply lines

I had a leak under the kitchen sink and had a plumber replace all the lines and shut off valves - hot, cold water, ice maker and dishwasher. He also replaces the lines with PVC. Everything was fine for about 5 days, but now everytime I turn on any faucet or the shower there is a small amount of air in the line. This occurs when no water has been run in the house for several hours. What could be causing this?

When you run the water for a few minutes then fill a glass is the water cloudy then turn clear in a few minutes? If so that would be an indication or air entrainment in the water supply coming in to the house. As the water sit undisturbed in your lines it can separate (like soda gives up CO2).

might check to see if you have another leaking faucet in the house either inside or out allowing air to enter the pipes when you turn the water on.
